The Nigeria U-17 boss has maintained that his boys will not underestimate Roland Larsson's team when both sides clash in Tuesday’s Group F game
Coach Garba Manu has promised that his lads will approach their game against Sweden with all seriousness when they face one another in the second group game of the ongoing World U-17 championship inside the Khalifa Bin Zayed Stadium in Al Ain.
The Golden Eaglets tackle the Scandinavian nation three days after thrashing defending world champions, Mexico 6-1 in Group F’s opening encounter.
“There is no and won't be any easy game at this tournament and we are not going to underrate Sweden because we beat Mexico 6-1. We are looking forward to the next game against Sweden knowing well that all the teams at this championship are here based on merit.”
"We are going to approach the match against Sweden with the same manner as we did against Mexico because our objective is to win the fourth title for Nigeria,” concluded Manu.
Nigeria will book an early passage to the second round of the 15th edition of the Fifa U-17 World Cup should they defeat the Swedes who also secured victory in their first game against fellow debutants Iraq 4-1.
