The most outstanding player of this year's Federation Cup has prophesied a brighter future for himself after guiding his club to victory in the final game
The Most Valuable Player of the 2013 Federation Cup, Bright Esieme has expressed his happiness at being considered for such recognition.
Esieme was a player of ABS last season after rising from the then lower league side Abia Warriors but he was lured by the Peoples Elephant at the beginning of the season along with his team mate, Andrew Abalogu from the Ilorin side.
He put up an all-round display that attracted the attention of all that graced the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos. The icing on the cake was his delightful shot in the Warri Wolves vital area in the 63rd minute which reawakened Enyimba's confidence and self belief throughout the remainder of the tie.
He was voted the MVP with a cash reward of N150,000 after the final which his club won at the expense of the Seasiders on penalties.
Esieme told Goal that he was thrilled to be considered for such honour and that his best was yet to come as he still has years ahead of him in the round leather game.
Esieme said:"I am grateful to the organisers of this award for considering me worthy of such accolade. My teammates were impressive they never gave up and it was this that also gave me the self belief that this cup is ours.
"I will continue to give my best and I am hoping that God will continue to guide my path to greatness," Esieme told Goal.
