The Chief Executive Officer of the Aba Millionaires believes his side will be banking on experience as former champions to win Sunday’s Federation Cup final
Enyimba will be banking on their experience to lift the trophy of the 68th edition of the Federation Cup to be staged at the Teslim Balogun Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
In an interview with the supremo of the People’s Elephant, Felix Anyansi believes his team has what it takes to emerge victorious and will be looking forward to erasing the sad memories of their painful loss to Heartland in the final of the 2011 edition.
“The game will be very challenging. Going by experience, these are two great sides. Warri Wolves have come a long way appearing in their first Federation Cup final and are full of enthusiasm. We are counting on our experience as five time finalists. The match is going to be massive,” said Anyansi.
“They (Wolves) have the spirit but we boast of experience. Anyway, we will not underrate our opponents but the fact remains that one person will win which I know will be Enyimba. We will approach the game with much seriousness and at the end of the day, victory will be ours though it will not be on a platter of gold,” concluded Anyansi.
To reach this final, Enyimba defeated Lobi stars 1-0 in the semi-final at Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium while Warri Wolves scaled through Akwa United’s hurdle 2-1 in Bauchi .
