The Technical and Development Committee of the Nigeria Football Federation has appointed Edwin Okon as the interim handler of the Nigeria senior female national team following a meeting held at the NFF secretariat on Tuesday.

Reacting to this development, Emmanuel Ikpeme hinted that their recommendation was made pending the approval of the NFF Executive Committee.
Edwin Okon will take charge of Super Falcons' international friendlies against Japan women’s national football team who are the reigning world champions billed for Nagasaki Prefectural Sports Park, Isahaya on Sepember 22 and four days later the second game will be played at Fukuda Denshi Arena,Chiba.
