Kwara United consititutes new management team

The Afonja Warriors will have another management committee to run the affairs of the club being embroiled in management problems for a while

 A new management team has been constituted for Kwara United in line with the rules guiding the league to run the affairs of the club.

Alhaji Toyin Sanusi is the chairman of the committee and they have been charged to ensure that the team qualifies to play on the continent next year.

Other members of the management are Hajia Ramat Abaya as vice chairman, the team manager, Agboola Ibrahim Basambo, coach Samson Unuanel and the secretary, Olusola Shehu.

Speaking with journalists, Alh. Abubakar Kannike sounded that there is no crisis in Kwara United as being peddled but the management was put up to enhance effective running of the club even as the board led by Barrister Bamidele Aluko is still in place but would be advisory.

Meanwhile, the Executive Governor of Kwara State, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed has presented two brand new buses - a coaster bus and a hummer bus to the club to cushion the effect of their trips.

According to the Kwara United media officer, Olayioye Ajide, Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed while presenting the keys of the vehicles to the captain of the club, Sheriff Jimoh at Government House, Ilorin, tasked the players and the coaches to justify the gesture and support of the state government through scintillating results.

The governor said that the government will take the welfare of the players serious to enable them do well and clinch the coveted continental ticket.
