LMC postpones Kano Pillars, Akwa United match

The League organisers have decided to shift the game between Pillars and Akwa United because of an auto crash that occurred on Thursday
The League Management Committee has postponed the Week 22 game between Kano Pillars and Akwa United because of the involvement of the coaches of the Kano side in a motor accident on their way back from Ilorin on Thursday.

The car conveying the three coaches, Baba Ganaru, Kabiru Baleria and Abdul Maikaba collided with a stationary trailer after one of the front tyres busted in motion.

Chairman of LMC, Nduka Irabor who wished the coaches speedy recovery noted that the game will not hold this weekend because of what happened Thursday afternoon in Kaduna.

"We have decided to shift the game because it won't be good that the game still goes ahead. The coaches are human beings and we must show concern for what happened.

"I am not sure all the coaches would be able to recover on time for the game, so the game will come up at a later date," Irabor said.

Akwa United had waited in Kaduna fter beating Heartland to qualify for the semi finals of the Federation Cup because there game would be against Kano Pillars this weekend.

They will now have to go back to Uyo and prepare for their next game at home next week Wednesday.
