Football fans in Nigeria will witness lots of drama when the quarter finals in the Federation Cup is played

After the round of 16 matches in the Federation Cup, the quarter finals pairings has thrown up tough fixtures for all eight clubs that qualified for the next stage of the competition which comes up next week Wednesday.

Lobi Stars who edged out ABS will face Akwa Starlets and the Makurdi side is confident, but will not underrate the Uyo based Nigeria National League side.

Lobi Vice Chairman, Dominic Iorfa told Goal that the team played very well against ABS, but will do everything possible to play in the semi finals of the competition.

"The boys did well against ABS and this game is the best they have played so far. We are going to prepare very well for the Uyo side, because they can be dangerous.

"This match will motivate the boys to win their games in the Premier League," Iorfa said.
Defending Champions Heartland will face Enugu Rangers conquerors, Akwa United.

Technical Director of Akwa, Charles Bassey noted that the victory will motivate the team to beat Heartland.
"Nobody gave us a chance to get to this stage of the competition, but we have proven that we can strike when least expected.

"When are going to do our best against Heartland," Bassey noted.
The game of the quarter finals will be the battle between Warri Wolves and Kano Pillars.
Wolves dispatched Niger Tornadoes, while Pillars triumphed over Gombe United in Jos. This is the game that will certainly bring out the best in the two teams.

Enyimba who are in the form of their lives will fight for a semi final place against Nasarawa United.
Nasarawa United will rely on coach Alphonsus Dike to get the better of the Aba side, but Enyimba are not ready to lose any game at this stage of the Federation Cup.
