TEAM NEWS: Ogu & Ideye replace Mba & Ujah for Nigeria against Uruguay

The Super Eagles coach has decided to ditch Sunday Mba for the giant frame of the Academica midfielder while the Dynamo striker replaces the Koln forward

Nigeria coach Stephen Keshi has chosen to start midfielder John Ogu in place of Sunday Mba in their clash against Uruguay. Brown Ideye also starts in place of Anthony Ujah in the attack.

It is the only change for the Super Eagles from their opening game against Tahiti.

On their part, Uruguay have brought in Diego Forlan for his 100th cap.

What this does is that the Eagles intend to more compact in midfield with the giant presence of Ogu while Uruguay are thinking of being quicker in their transition in attack with Forlan acting as the lynchpin for the duo of Edinson Cavani and Luis Suarez.

Nigeria XI:

Enyeama; Ambrose, Oboabona, Omeruo, Echiejile; Ogu, Ogude, Mikel; Musa, Ideye, Oduamadi
