Bayelsa United coach, Ladan Bosso has revealed that he will sign only five new players to strengthen his side for the second round of the Nigeria Professional Football League.
Bosso noted that it is important to get new players because the second round would certainly be tougher than the first round as all the clubs in NPFL will also get in new players.
"I have a good team and the players have shown that they are capable of doing their best. But we just need some new players to make the team a lot more stronger.
"I know the areas we need to reinforce and I have already discussed with the players, although I will not want to reveal their names to you.
"But you can be rest assured that the players we are going to sign will help boost the team. They will add more bite in the areas where they will excel.
"We are going to take stock of how we performed in the first round and plan on what we are going to do in the second round.
"One thing that is sure is that we are going to improve in the second round because we intend to make sure that we qualify to play in the continent next year.
"Bayelsa United is newly promoted and we are taking each game as they come.
"The Federation Cup will help us take a good look at what will happen in the second round as we take on Prime FC of Oshogbo next week Tuesday in Benin," Bosso said.
Bayelsa United are placed fourth on the league table with 29 points.
