The League authorities have said that the second stanza of the Nigeria Professional Football League will resume July 3rd after a three-week break
The last game of the first round will be played this weekend and the clubs will thereafter have three weeks break to reorganise and bring in some new players.
Goal learnt that the league authorities are not ready to leave anything to chance and want the schedule of matches to run without hinderance.
"We have planned out everything and we know without any problem everything will work well. That is why we are taking some weeks before the League resumes again.
"It's been tight, but that is the only way we can meet up with the date we have agreed that the league will end. If we don't take some steps, we may not be able to end on time and start when the European season will begin," an official of the League body said.
Kano Pillars are presently on top of the log with 33 points from 18 matches.
