The NPFL Week 16 encounter which was supposed to hold by Wednesday was shifted forward by 24 hours after Sunshine wrote the League Management Company(LMC) that the stadium billed to host the game would be busy with an undisclosed assignment that same day.
Sunshine fired former coach, Samuel Abimbola last week and brought in a former coach of the club and a one-time Assistant Coach of the Super Eagles.
The Akure Arsenal did not waste time to fetch Amoo his first victory as the club's head coach with a second half hat trick from Dele Olorundare which took his tally for the season to nine goals from 16 games.
An elated coach Amoo told Goal that he was happy to open his account as Sunshine's handler with a win but he warned his wards that they were not yet the finished product hence they should keep on fighting harder to ensure that the club gets the mandate of the management which is to deliver a continental ticket.
He admitted he would make a lot of changes to ensure that Sunshine continues to improve on the league table.
"We are happy that we won but we know we still have a lot of work to do to ensure we remain among the top teams. We have been given a mandate to qualify for the continent and that is what we are working towards,” Amoo told Goal.
"We are not yet there but we shall keep on pushing it until we get to our desired heights," Amoo added.
Sunshine are now fifth on the table with 24 points from 16 games but they face a tough fixture away to Enyimba at Aba this weekend in one of the Week 17 matches across the nation.
