Enyimba coach Paul Aigbogun has reiterated his conviction that the Peoples Elephants have woken up from their early blip and that henceforth would be striving to pick points both home and away to make up for lost time.
Three goals from Sibi Gwar handed all three points to Enyimba as they defeated Kano Pillars 3-0 in a Week 11 league cracker at Aba.
The Aba Millionaires had earlier struggled in the first few games of the current campaign when they lost most of their road games and even drew two matches at home but Aigbogun assures Goal that better times are here and that there won't be any struggling again this season.
He pointed out that the inability of the team to get the desired results was lack of sufficient time by the coaches to find the proper blend and the right combination in the problematic striking position.
He said a point to savour was the results they amassed in their last three games which had produced 7 points including convincing home wins against Dolphins and yesterday 3-0 thrashing of the league's reigning champions Kano Pillars both at Enyimba International Stadium,Aba.
Aigbogun disclosed: "We were ready for this game because we had trained very hard for it. In all the team has been playing well and we were not fortunate enough to get the goals that will give us the games but I think we are getting there.
"With a performance like this against Pillars, we can only be encouraged to go to Bauchi on Thursday and be hopeful of another inspiring result against Wikki Tourists."
Enyimba are seventh with 16 points from 11 games while Pillars still maintain top spot with 19 points from 10 matches. Enyimba visit Wikki Tourists in Bauchi while Pillars and Nembe City lock horns in Kano in midweek.
