The Super Eagle hero at the last Africa Cup of Nations will make his first start for the Flying Antelopes after arriving Angola late due to passport issues
Nigeria hero, Sunday Mba will make his début for Enugu Rangers today when they take on Recreativo Libolo in the second leg second round game of the Caf Champions League.
Mba missed travelling with the team on Thursday because his passport and that of Emeka Eze were still in the American Embassy eventually arrived Libolo on Saturday morning and may start the game.
The first leg ended goalless in Enugu.
Mba and Eze arrived aboard Arik Air and joined up in time with other players at their Aanisa Hotel Ritz where they are staying for the match.
The players remained confident they will still qualify even after playing a goalless draw in the first leg.
Chinedu Sunday noted that they are ready for whatever Recreativo Libolo will throw at them.
“We are ready and confident that we will scale this hurdle. We have a good team and we are focussed on getting into the group stage of the Caf Champions League,” he said.
Alhaji Gero revealed that the players will do everything possible to make Nigeria proud.
“Rangers will surely scale this hurdle. We know the stakes are high, but we are ready to make sure that we do our best and our best will surely give us the ticket to play in the group stage of the Champions League,” Gero boasted.
Rangers are the only remaining Nigerian team in continental contention this season and need to get at least a score draw to proceed to the lucrative group stage of the Champions League.
