Victor Anichebe played all 90 minutes as Everton held Tottenham to a 2-2 draw on Sunday at White Hart Lane. Anichebe had the chance to be the match winner in the 90th minute but Hugo Lloris saved what would have been the clincher.
Anichebe played every minute of the game and had a hand in Everton’s second goal as his touch freed Kevin Mirallas to score in the 53rd minute.
In the 70th minute, a right footed shot from outside the box was blocked and another attempt in the 82nd minute was also blocked.
The Nigerian striker could have won the match in the 90th but his left footed dink did not go high enough to beat Lloris.
Anichebe had 67% pass accuracy from 51 touches on the ball. He won 27% of his aerial duels, had three shots and completed two dribbles successfully. He has scored five goals in 18 league games.
Mikel Obi was the only Nigerian player that starred for Chelsea on Sunday as they beat Sunderland 2-1 at Stamford Bridge. Mikel played all 90 minutes while Victor Moses was not listed for the encounter.
Mikel, playing his 20th league game, had 80% pass accuracy from 71 touches of the ball. He also made three successful tackles and committed one foul.
Hope Akpan started for Reading in their 2-0 home loss to Southampton on Saturday. Akpan, who has signified his interest in playing for Nigeria, was replaced by Mikele Leigertwood in the 46th minute of the encounter. Reading stay rooted to the bottom of the Premiership table with 23 points.
Peter Odemwingie was not listed in West Brom's 2-1 home loss to Arsenal on Saturday.
Kalu Uche celebrated his recall to the Super Eagles with a goal in Kasimpasa's 3-2 loss away to Antalyaspor. Uche scored his team's second goal on 71 minutes to push for an equaliser which was not to be.
Isaac Promise was on the pitch for Antalyaspor for 87 minutes before he was substituted by Omer Sismanoglu. Promise has scored seven goals in 24 league matches.
Michael Eneramo was not listed for Sivasspor as they lost 2-1 away to Eskişehirspor.
Mersin İdmanyurdu continued their free fall to the second division as they lost 3-1 away to Galatasaray last Saturday. Raheem Lawal (pictured above) and Nduka Ozokwor started for Mersin İdmanyurdu with Lawal getting a yellow card in the 20th minute and he was substituted in the 74th minute.
Ozokwor played all 90 minutes. İdmanyurdu have 21 points at the bottom of the table with six games left in the season.
John Utaka started for Montpellier in their 3-1 win over Valenciennes on Saturday. Utaka was substituted in the 46th minute by Gaetan Charbonnier after he was shown a yellow card in the 44th minute.
Utaka has played 26 times in the league this season and has scored five goals. His last goal in the league came against Sochaux on January 26.
Apam Onyekachi was left on the bench for all 90 minutes for Rennes as they lost 2-0 at home to league leaders, PSG. Ejike Uzoenyi was not listed for the match at all. Onyekachi has played only eight games this season.
Dynamo scored first through Andrei Yarmolenko in the 10th minute but Henrikh Mkhitaryan scored in the 44th and 75th minutes to stretch their lead at the top of the table to 17 points from second-placed Metallist as Dynamo dropped to third.

Sidney Sam started for Bayer Leverkusen against Wolfsburg but they could only manage a 1-1 draw. Leverkusen stay in third position with 49 points with six games left in the season.
Sam was substituted in the 60th minute by Jens Hegeler. The German-Nigerian has scored five goals in 17 league games in an injury-laden campaign.
Another injury-plagued player, Chinedu Obasi was not listed for Schalke 04 in their 2-0 away win over Werder Bremen. Joseph Akpala is out for Bremen with a long term injury.
Leon Balogun played all 90 minutes at right back for Fortuna Düsseldorf as they lost 3-0 to Hoffenheim and stay 15th with 29 points.
Nosa Igiebor started for Real Betis and played all 90 minutes as Betis humilated Granada 5-1. Odion Ighalo came on for Granada in the second half with Betis already 3-0 up.Igiebor, fined for returning late to the team after the Nations Cup could have scored in the 30th minute but his air shot created the chance for Ruben Castro. Igiebor was shown a yellow card in the first minute of the match. The Nigerian midfielder has played 12 league games and has not scored.
