Club owners in the Nigeria Professional Football (Npfl) League will be addressing a press conference at 10am to air their grievances against the League Management Committee (LMC) headed by Nduka Irabor.
From reports gathered, they are unhappy at been side-lined by the Irabor-led LMC. This may lead to another ugly episode concerning a league that has had its own fair share of obstacles.
One of the chairmen who spoke on the condition of anonymity told Goal.com: “We are not happy with the LMC and we have written to the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) to withdraw whatever registration they gave to them.”
He also added that the LMC board is behaving as if the clubs do not exist.
There were 14 club owners present at the meeting with the clubs representing the country on the continent absent. Also absent were representatives from Akwa United and Kaduna United.
It was also gathered that the club owners will be wring to the Nigeria sports minister, the Nigeria Football Federation, Caf and Fifa.
