Heartland's Benjamin Francis and Obinna Nwachukwu have forecast a big win for the Super Eagles ahead of the Brazil 2014 World Cup qualifier against Kenya at the U.J Esuene Stadium in Calabar.
Though they have not cemented outright berths in the national team, the duo told Goal.com that they would like Nigeria to beat the Harambee Stars hands down and show the country that the victory in South Africa was no fluke.
Benjamin, a left full back with the Naze Millionaires has been in excellent form both for the Owerri-based club and the practice sessions he has had with the senior national team. He was even among the domestic lads that travelled to Portugal for the final part of Afcon preparation, featuring giving a good account of himself against Catalonia in January this year.
The soft spoken defender told Goal.com: "I am happy to be in the team. There is not much difference between me and those in the team presently. I will patiently wait for my own time. I am not in a rush.
"The game against Kenya will be crucial but I will like us to prosecute it with all seriousness. We should beat them by wide margin so as to show our fans that we merited the AFCON title and that it wasn't accidental."
Nwachukwu has been with the Eagles since the start of the Stephen Keshi's tenure as coach and has been one of the few that remain in the squad. He also enthused that a sweet victory awaits Nigeria on Saturday.
