The Nigeria international is seriously pushing for a recall to the Super Eagles as Emmanuel Emenike will be absent against Kenya

Kalu Uche scored his 14th league goal of the 2012/13 campaign against Trabzonspor on Monday at the Recep Tayyip Erdogan Stadyumu.

Uche scored the second goal of the match in the 44th minute after Tabare Viudez had opened scoring in the 37th minute. He was replaced in the 93rd minute by Pablo Pintos and he could have opened scoring in the 18th minute but the Trabzonspor goalkeeper made a good save.

The Super Eagles midfielder cum striker scored two goals at the 2010 World Cup in South Korea and was a super regular under departed Coach Samson Siasia’s teams.

With the unavoidable absence of Emmanuel Emenike due to injury for the crucial 2014 Fifa World Cup qualifier against Kenya in Calabar on March 23, the technical crew of the national might have to consider Uche on account of the goals he has contributed to his club.

Also Coach Keshi has reiterated that the national team door is still open for players who can cut the grade.

His goals have helped Kasimpasa to 10 wins and moved them to sixth on the league table with 36 points.

He has scored seven goals at home and seven away to lead his newly-promoted side in a chase for European places.

The goal also means that he is top of the goal scoring chart with Burak Yilmaz and he is also the highest scoring Nigerian in Europe currently followed by Brown Ideye of Dynamo Kiev, who has scored 13 league goals.
