The Afcon winning midfielder has been dropped for the away tie against Olympique Real Bangui in the premilinary phase in the Caf Champions League
Super Eagles midfielder, Gabriel Reuben has been dropped from the Kano Pillars team that will be travelling to Bangui on Thursday aboard a chartered flight for their second leg tie in the Caf Champions League against Olympique Real Bangui.
This was revealed to Goal.com by Kano Pillars' Media Officer, Idris Malikawa in a telephone chat from their Kano base.
"We are leaving tomorrow from Kano to Bangui with a chartered flight," Malikawa told Goal.com.
"The boys are ready for the second leg game after getting a 5-1 result in the first leg game in Kano.
"But Gabriel will not be part of the team to Bangui because he just started training with the team.
"The coaches felt he should rest and prepare himself for the opening game in the Nigeria Premier League against Wikki Tourists next week.
Malikawa added that his team will get the desired result from the game in the Central Africa Republic.
"We are confident we will get the result that will take us to the next round of the Caf Champions League," Malikawa concluded.
