The Kano Pillars midfielder has revealed that he is not bothered by the fact that he did not taste action during the 2013 Africa Cup of NationsSuper Eagles midfielder Reuben Gabriel has told Goal.com that he is not in any way bitter that he did not feature in any game during the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.
Gabriel noted that he was fully fit during the tournament, but the coaches would not want to change a winning team.
"I am not disturbed that I could not feature in any of the matches. Yes I was injured before the tournament started, but I was hale and hearty as soon as we got to South Africa.
"I participated in every training session and was looking forward to even making some cameo apperances in some of the matches.
"But the coaches knew better and I cannot fault their judgement in any way. They made the right decisions at all times and that is why I have said that I am not sulking that I could not contribute my quota to the victory of the team.
"But I am still a good player and I know my worth. I did very well during the qualifiers and what happened will make me put in my best in training.
"I am preparing myself for our League opening game against Wikki Tourists and I will be back to full action. I have started training with my team and I cannot wait for that game next week in Bauchi," Gabriel said.
