Egypt and Nigeria U-20 sides end second clash goalless

Coach, John Sam Obuh largely experimental side held the Junior Pharaohs counterparts to a goalless draw in the second leg of their international friendly

The Flying Eagles, Nigeria U-20 team have been held their hosts, Egyptian's Junior Pharaohs to a scoreless draw in the second match of their two legged ties in preparation for next month's African Youth Championship(AYC) slated for Algeria.

The Flying Eagles had beaten their Egyptian hosts with most of the first team regulars 3-1 on Wednesday.

Coach John Obuh made wholesale changes as he said he would to understand better all the players in his team but make didn't result to a double victory over their North African side which also won the AYC tournament in 1991 as hosts.

With the conclusion of the two games against Egyptian's U-20 side, the Flying Eagles will leave for Tunisia on Saturday for the continuation of an intensive build up to the defence of the AYC they won in 2011 in South Africa. Nigeria beat Cameroon 3-2 in the final played in South Africa.

The Flying Eagles will be competing in Group B against Gabon, DR Congo and Mali when the tournament kicks off on March 16 in Algeria.
