Dolphins are ready for the new Nigeria Premier League season

The Port-Harcourt reveal that they have done everything to prepare for the new season and are hopeful of doing well
Dumbo Awanen, Dolphins General Manager,  has disclosed that the 2010/11 champions are ready for the 2012/13 football season which kicks off on March 9, 2013.

Awanen said on Tuesday that fans of the club will be in for a pleasant surprise when the League kicks off next month.

“I am personally happy with the pre-season preparations of the club and I know we are ready for the season," Awanen told

“From Nnewi where we had pre-season camping to Lagos where we played in a tournament with amateur teams and then just last week when we went to Aba to play against Enyimba I believe we have done enough to be ready for the League,” Awanen added.

“I am also happy with the quality of players we have signed on for this season and when you watch them train and play you see a determination in them to excel.

“I believe we will finish amongst the top four in the League by the end of the season,” he concluded.

Dolphins start their campaign in the 2012/13 football season with a road trip to Uyo to play against Akwa United and then return home to face Shooting Stars in a week two encounter.
