The former Nigerian star is getting all the headlines in Turkey as he pushes his team towards qualifying for Europe
Nigerian international, Kalu Uche scored the only goal of the game in Kasimpasa’s 1-0 win over Sivasspor on Monday at the Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Stadyumu in Istanbul.
Uche got the goal in the 62nd minute of the encounter with Michael Eneramo featuring for Sivasspor for all 90 minutes. Eneramo got a yellow card in the 90th minute mainly due out of frustration at not been able to add to his seven league goals.
Uche has now scored 12 league goals in 22 league games for the newly promoted team is the joint leading scorer with Umut Bulut. Kasimpasa now have 33 points from 22 matches, four points from second-placed Fenerbahce. Kasimpasa are on the road next to confront Fenerbahce on Sunday.
Uche, the elder brother of Ikechukwu Uche was not called up by Stephen Keshi for the 2013 Afcon which the Super Eagles won but has shown consistent goal scoring form which may convince the Super Eagles coach to have a rethink on his usefulness to the national team.
