Uzoeny,i who was part of the history making Super Eagles that won the Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa, revealed that he will be going to join his new team anytime this week. Compatriot Onyekachi Apam also plays for the side.
"Yes I will be travelling to France. This deal was concluded long before the Cup of Nations," he told Goal.com.
An official of Rangers noted that it is a good thing that Uzoenyi will be travelling abroad as it marks a progress in his career.
"We are happy for him because everything is working well for him. We know he will be a good ambassador for the team and all the players wish him well.
"During the morning training session, he came around and addressed the players. There is excitement among our players that they can also achieve that feat of representing Nigeria in major tournaments.
"We will surely miss him, but we have other players that will continue where he stopped with the team," the official said.
Uzoenyi featured in only one match as a substitute against Mali at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations where Nigeria emerged champions for the third time.
