CAF Champions League: Rangers qualify for next round without kicking the ball

The Enugu side advanced to the next round after they walk over their opponents from Sao Tome and Principe
Enugu Rangers progressed to the next stage of the Caf Champions League after they walked over their opponent Sporting Do Principe.

The team from Sao Tome and Principe failed to show up for the first leg game in Enugu on Sunday and walk over formalities was performed by match officials.

Rangers will no await confirmation from Africa football ruling body, CAF for their qualification to the next stage of the competition.

Officials of the Enugu side told that they are just awaiting official confirmation from CAF and they will move to the next round of the competition.

"We did everything to get in touch with them but we could not get confrimation whether they will come for the game. Evenatually they did not and they were walked over in Enugu".
