Rangers may walk over SC Do Principe in Champions League tie

The Sao Tome and Principe side is yet to land in Enugu for the Sunday game against the Flying Antelopes
Rangers may not kick a ball in the preliminaries of the Champions League as their opponents, SC Do Prinicpe have not arrived Enugu for the game scheduled to be played on Sunday.Goal.com learnt that the Sao Tome team did not land in Enugu Saturday and may be walked over as the pre-match formalities was conducted Saturday evening at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium.
Officials of Rangers told Goal.com that they are still waiting for their opponents and are ready for the game having concluded all preparations for the tie.
Chairman of Enugu State Football Association, Ofor Okwnwa disclosed that the Confederation of African Football has ordered that the match must be played on Sunday.
"I called the team from Sao Tome and Principe and they told me that they just procured their visas today and would try as much as possible to come into Enugu on Sunday.

"But they asked that we shift the game to Monday to enable them rest when they land in Enugu on Sunday. But we did the pre-match meeting and the match officials are aware of what is going on.
"We have written to CAF and they have told us that the match date has not changed. But if officials of SC Do Principe can get through to the continent football ruling body, then maybe the match can be reschduled.
"So expect we see the team on Sunday in Enugu and CAF instructs us to play on Monday, then they may be walked over," Okenwa said
