The former Dolphins and Niger Tornadoes defender is in high demand in North America as another season gathers momentum
A Nigerian is on the verge of a switch to the United States Major League Soccer (MSL) after two clubs from that country approached him for a contract.

Kennedy Iheanacho is a player of Division 2 clubside, Ro Eit United FC of Thailand but he is in high demand by Portland Timbers and DC United FC after both teams in the MSL indicated interest in signing him.

Iheanacho is a central defender who can also play in other positions in the midfield conveniently. He could be a team mate of Super Eagles' striker, Bright Dike even Portland Timbers are successful in their bid for him.

Speaking on the offers from the two top USA clubs, Kennedy told he would relish the prospect of taking his soccer skills to the United States if any of the two clubs showed sincere seriousness.

"I am suited to take my career to the USA without any problem. My representatives are currently studying the bids from these two clubs and others and at the end of the day I believe we shall only pick the club with most seriousness out of the lot.

"I am not cut out for the Thai league. I have paid my dues with the few years I spent there. I am ready to move on.

Portland Timbers and DC United both in the MLS and another from Canada among others have made enquiries about me but nothing is concrete yet."
