Kano Pillars striker is back to the team that is preparing for their Champions League game next weekKano Pillars forward, Gambo Mohammed has returned to the camp of the team in Kaduna after he failed to secure a contract with Egyptian side, El-Gouna Sporting Club.
Sources close to the club told Goal.com that Gambo who was the second highest goal scorer in the Nigeria Premier League with 14 goals could not tie down a contract with the team in Egypt because of some differences and had to return to Nigeria instead of wasting his time in Cairo.
"He could not get a contract with the club because of some irreconcilable differences. That is why he came back and is now with the team in Kaduna,".
Pillars coach, Baba Ganaru discolsed that he is happy Gambo Mohammed is back as he will strengthen his side for their first leg game against Olympique de Bangui from Central Africa Republic.
"He is with us and he is training seriously for the game in Kano next weekend. Gambo is one of one my good players and I am happy that he is back with us.
"Now we are stronger in attack and with Gambo and other players, we are going to do ouir best to win our first leg game with wide margin.
"The team is training seriously in Kaduna and with the friendly matches we have played, we are going to do well in the Champions League.
"We are going to miss Reuben Gabriel who is with the Super Eagles in South Africa, but all other players are intact for the game in the Champions League," Ganaru said.
