Rangers midfielder, Chinedu Sunday has told Goal.com that the team will be ready for their Champions League game against SC Do Prinicipe of Sao Tome and Principe which inceidentally would be their first match in the new season.
The Nigeria Premier League will start February I6th and the Enugu will not be part of the season opener since they will be involved in the preliminaries of the Africa Champions League.
Chinedu Sunday who joined Rangers three years ago from Kaduna United noted that they have prepared very well for the game and is confident they will get the job done in the first leg in Enugu.
"We may not have done well during the Super Four, but I am optimistic that we are going to put up a respectable performance in the first leg of our game against the team from Sao Tome and Principe.
"We may not know how strong the team is, but we have done our own part by training very well. We have a good team that is stronger than the one we paraded last season.
" The fact that we dont know our opponents means we don't have to take any chances in any way. We have to win and win very well so that there won't be any problem in the second leg.
"For over seven years Rangers have not played in the Champions League, so we must not relent in our efforts to put smiles on the faces of our supporters.
"From Monday we will go into close camp and we are going to perfect our stategies for the game," Chinedu said.
