The Maiduguri based outfit are leaving no stone unturned in their plans to make it a successful return to the NPL after years of absenceEl Kanemi Warriors will resume for their closed camping exercise On Sunday ahead of the new Nigeria Premier League(NPL) season scheduled to commence on February 16.
The head coach of the new NPL entrants, Zakary Baraje who disclosed this to Goal.com said that a total of the 30 players will play in the new season and will start the closed camping exercise to fine-tune what they have in their armoury before the league starts.
"We are going into a closed door session on Sunday ahead of the league season. We had some problems but we have overcome them now and are expecting a good season with the type of players we have in the squad.
"I am sure that we are going to have a good team because we have really prepared very well.
" I am confident El-Kanemi will do well because we have all it takes to challenge for the league title this season, "
El Kanemi, Nembe City, Bayelsa United and Nasarawa United are the four new clubs that gained promotion to the elite division from the Nigeria National League.
