Kano Pillars forward has travelled to Egypt to negotiate with a Premier League side
Gambo who was the second highest goal scorer with 15 goals last season in the Nigeria Premier League will meet with officials of the club for a possible switch from Kano Pillars.
According to the media officer of the Kano based side, Idris Malikawa, the lanky forward is expected to spend two weeks in Egypt.
"Gambo Mohammed should have travelled some weeks ago, but he had problem with securing visa for the trip.
"But his manager, Olawale had to step in to help him. And he travelled out of the country last Sunday and we are hopeful he will get a contract with the Egyptian club.
"Gambo is one player that we are going to miss. He served and did his best for the team. In all the years that he played for us, he showed true professionalism and we are going to miss him when the new season starts.
"But we have signed on capable players to replace him this season and we are sure of doing well
"We wish him all the best in his future endeavours," Malikawa concluded.
