Former Enugu Rangers captain James Okwuosa has boasted that the team will do well this season after they recruited good players for the coming season.
Okwuosa who now plays at South African side, Chippa United noted that the team is ready to improve on what they achieved last season. Okwuosa who led the team to a second place finish behind Kano Pillars last season told Goal.com from Enugu that the team is looking good for the new season.
"I am training with the team since I am on holidays and from what I have seen of the old and new players, they will do very well.
"Officials of the club have been able get the right calibre of players in all the departments of the game. I noticed that they have recruited very good players who are ready to do their best in both the Premier and Champions League.
"And they also retained the players they need for the coming season, so blending will not be a problem," Okwuosa said.
The player who recently got married to his heartthrob, Amaka in Enugu however, has a word of advice for the management of the team.
"All the efforts of scouting and signing good players will be a mere waste of time if the boys are not motivated to give their best. The boys must be paid as and when due. They must not think of where their next meal will come from.
"They have signed a contract and every word of that contract must be obeyed. The moment players in the team begin to think that their welfare is not taken seriously, then there will be problems.
"The Enugu State Government should provide the enabling environment to succeed. If the players are happy, they can beat any club in the country," Okwuosa concluded.
