Former Caf Champions League winners, Enyimba of Aba will on January 13 resume earnest preparation ahead of the 2012/13 Nigeria Premier League (NPL)season slated to start February 16 across the country.
The Peoples Elephant which finished 4th and thus missed a place on the continent by the whiskers for a second season running asked their players to go for a short break in observance of the new year few days before the turn of 2013. A member of the team, Amanfor Chimezie has told Goal.com the club has directed all players and officials to hit Aba on or before January 13.
Amanfor stated that the Aba Millionaires' quest to reclaim lost glory accounted for the seriousness put into the team's preparation for the new league season in which the players are all determined to deliver a continental ticket to their patient fans."We will be resuming in camp on Sunday January 13 ahead of training sessions that will start from Monday. We don't need to be told where we finished last season. We want to right the wrongs of the previous two seasons and strive to get a place on the continent for our loyal fans," Chimezie said.
