Heartland of Owerri have arrived Kano in time for their first match against Kano Pillars today's afternoon in the pre season tournament organised for Nigerian clubs in the 2013 CAF inter club competitions.
The Naze Millionaires' media officer, Cajetan Nkwopara said that the club travelled with 26 players and 11 technical officials and other two staff.
He stressed that the double Federation and Charity Cup winners would use the competition to test their new players ahead of the new league season and CAF Confederation Cup assault.
"We have arrived in Kano and are ready for the pre-season tournament. We have a 39-man contingent, 26 players and 11 technical officials with two ordinary staff.
"We are now here for sightseeing. We are here to test and players and remain very active for the competitions we have this year in both the country and Africa," Nkwopara explained.
Heartland will slug it out with Enugu Rangers in another oriental derby on Thursday before playing Lobi Stars in the decider on Sunday.
Rangers and Lobi Stars have also arrived Kano to complete the four teams expected at the tournament.
Pillars and Rangers will hoist Nigeria's flag in the Champions League while Heartland and Lobi are championing the country's interest in the Confederation Cup.
