Kano Pillars coach Baba Ganaru remains extremely confident his side will win the Super Four Tournament next week.
The competition which takes place in Kano from January 9th-13th will see Rangers International, Heartland and Lobi Stars locking horns with the League Champions, Kano Pillars.
The Nigeria Premier League decided to organise the competition for the four teams that will represent Nigeria in continental assignment this year so as to put them in good stead since the League did not start on time.
Ganaru noted that apart from playing at home, his boys are well motivated to do state proud and finally tell Nigerians that they deserve to be crowned Champions of the Nigeria Premier League.
"I want to win that tournament because it will finally make Kano Pillars undisputed Champions of the league. Ganaru told Goal.com that some people still don't believe they truly deserve to be crowned Champions at the end last season.
"With what my boys will put, everybody will know that we are currently the defending Champions of the League. "A victory in the competition will encourage the players that the season will be a good in both the NPL and Champions League.
"We have an advantage because we are playing at home and before our fans. And the boys are well motivated so I don't have any problem with Pillars picking the first position.
"The three teams coming are good, but we are ready for the competition," Ganaru boasted.
