The Chairman of Kano Pillars, Alhaji Abba Galadima has heaped praises on football stakeholders in the country especially the Nigeria Premier League(NPL) for agreeing to take the pre season tournament to Kano as planned.
Galadima, who is younger brother of erstwhile NFA chairman, Ibrahim told Goal.com that the State and Pillars are both ready to host a befitting pre season tourney that would be the talk of the town on completion which is expected to start January 9-13.
He said all arrangements have been concluded to ensure a hitch free competition assuring that the whole matches would be graced by all lovers of football including the fans of Kano.
Galadima stressed that besides the pre season tournament billed for the four teams representing Nigeria in CAF Inter Club competition this year, there would also be a seminar at the instance of the NPL and the draws for the 2012/2013 league season.
He enjoined all and sundry to contribute positively to the success of the events lined up in the coming days. Galadima said:
"I am using this medium to thank the NPL and other football stakeholders for agreeing to take the pre season tournament to Kano. "We have said without number that Kano is ready and Pillars are also ready too to host a successful competition.
"We are happy this is happening and we have promised to make it a competition to behold." Heartland and Lobi Stars will represent Nigeria in the Confederation Cup while the duo of Pillars and Enugu Rangers are in the Champions League competition.
