The club's technical adviser says the Peoples Elephant stay in Otta for residential camping has been a rewarding experience
Salisu Yusuf, Enyimba's technical adviser, has expressed satisfaction with the friendly matches played by the Peoples Elephant during their just concluded tour of Otta, Ogun State during their closed camping exercise.
The Aba Millionaires played three matches and won all – they had games against Bolowotan of Lagos, Otta Selected and another grass roots side.
In a chat with Goal.com, the former Super Eagles' assistant coach said it was important he put the resilience of his players to the test ahead of the new league season expected to kick off on February 16.
He confirmed he got part of what he was looking out for and would continue to scrutinise his players to get the best out of them when the league starts.
Yusuf confessed it was not easy having a standard team raised from the complement of the old and new players but he however stressed his work was made easier with the straightforward application of his tutorials by his players.
"We are still work in progress and have every tendency to perform at optimum level by the time the season starts,” Yusuf told Goal.com.
“Some of the players impressed me during our stay in Otta and we shall continue from where we stopped after the two weeks break," Yusuf added.
Meanwhile, Enyimba have embarked on a two weeks break after the club left Temperance Hotel in Otta.
The players are expected back in camp within a fortnight in time for the February 16 date fixed for the start of the league.
