Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Premier League has disclosed that the draws for the new season will take place for the last matches of the Super FourThe draw for the new season which starts on February 16, 2013 will take place on January 12 in Kano.
According to Tunji Babalola, the Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Premier League, all arrangements have been concluded for a hitch free draw ceremony.
Babalola told Goal.com that the draw for the new Premier League season will come on the free day during the Super Four involving the four clubs that will be representing Nigeria on the continent.
"The Super Four tournament will involve Kano Pillars, Rangers, Lobi Stars and Heartland and will kick-off on January 9 and ends on the 13th.
"There will be matches on the 9th and 11th. But on the 12th, there will be a free day and in the evening of that day, we hope to conduct the draw.
"I know that all the 20 Premier League clubs are getting ready for the new season and they will all be in Kano for the draw.
"We are going to organise seminar for club administrators and doctors so they can keep abreast of the latest trend in the way clubs are managed.
"I am also confident that we are going to have a successful season where we are going to have a true champion at the end of the season," said Babalola. Kano Pillars are the defending champions of NPL.
