The Granotes striker through his foundation offered assistance to the needy on Christmas day across hospices and orphanages in the metropolis
Levante star Obafemi Martins on Christmas Day paid a courtesy visit to three hospitals and three motherless babies homes in Lagos where he donated items to the inmates.
The charity is for new mothers and their babies. He made donations and also paid the bills for the mothers who couldn't afford it themselves.
Meanwhile Levante fans are celebrating after Martins’ name was omitted from Nigeria's squad for the Africa Cup of Nations.
Stephan Keshi named his preliminary 32-man squad for the tournament in South Africa in January, and it does not include the Granotes striker.
It means the 28-year-old will not miss any of the games in the Liga campaign come the New Year, which will no doubt please boss Juan Ignacio Martinez.
Martins has been integral to the Ciutat de Valencia side this season, having scored six goals in 13 League matches, firing them to sixth position on the table.
