Former Rangers striker who now plays for Turkish club 1461 Trabzon, Chikeluba Ofoedu will move to the main team in January after his scintillating performance with the second side.
Ofoedu how has scored 19 goals in 13 matches will in Janaury begin to play with the senior team when the league resumes in the new year.
A source close to the player told Goal.com that officials of the club are happy with Ofoedu have decided to promote him to the senior team as he will strengthen the team for the second round of the Turkish League.
Ofoedu said he is happy officials of the club have recognised the immense talent in him and have decided to move him up to the main team.
"I was just doing my duty, scoring goals in almost all the matches that I have played and it is a great honour for me to join the main team and fight for a shirt.
"This is a call for me to to also do well with the senior team. I want to say that it is going to be a tough battle to get a shirt with the senior players, but I will certainly do my best," Ofoedu said.
Chikeluba Ofoedu was Enugu Rangers point man last season and scored 12 goals before he moved to Turkey after failed trials in Norway.
