The Ilorin based side may not train in Lokoja because there is no date yet for the Nigeria Premier League kick offAbubakar Bukola Saraki FC general manager, Alloy Chukwuemeka has told Goal.com the League kick off date may disrupt the club's proposed camping exercise in Lokoja.
Chukwuemeka noted that the fact that nobody knows the date when the Nigeria Premier League will commence, may not allow the team to travel to Lokoja again.
"We intended to go to Lokoja to stay for 10 days and prepare for the new season. We have some new players and they were supposed to train very well with the old players so as to blend very well.
"But we cannot just move to Lokoja when we don't know when the League will start. If we know the date for the start of the League, then we plan towards going to Lokoja and getting the boys ready for the new season.
"But we are still in Ilorin preparing in our own little way. We are playing friendly matches and getting set to challenge for the league title.
"Last season was not particularly good for us even though we started very well. But we intend to make sure that we don't have that type of problem again.
"We may have lost some players in the transfer window, but we are still confident that we will not just compete in the League, but also make our presence felt in all ramifications," Chukwuemeka said.
ABS ended last season in the 15th position with 48 points.
