The Nigeria Football Federation has confirmed the sack of the Victor Baribote-led Nigeria Premier League board.
In one of its communiqués after its Annual General Assembly, the football ruling house noted that the congress was properly called and the clubs did not break any rule when they decided to remove the board.
The NFF revealed that there is nothing wrong with the clubs having their congress since they have the right to choose who to lead them.
The football house further stated that a league management committee will be set up to supervise the 2012/13 football season.
Nineteen club representatives held their congress last Tuesday in Abuja and decided that the board should go.
With the confirmation of the sack, the League management committee will be in place in no distant time to start planning for the coming season.
