The two Nigerians have been deemed very necessary to the defending champions as they hope to qualify for the Champions League next phase
Victor Moses will have the chance to add to his solitary goal in the Uefa Champions League on Wednesday as feelers coming from the Cobham training complex of Chelsea say he will be in the starting XI.
With Chelsea in a slump and with the genuine fear of crashing out of the group stage even if they beat Nordsjaelland on Wednesday, interim boss, Rafa Benitez is looking to make changes in Chelsea’s starting line up to re-galvanise the season of the European defending champions.
Benitez is believed to think that Eden Hazard, Juan Mata and Oscar are too similar in playing style to be played together and so one of the three will be dropped for Moses.
Another player expected to lose his place in the starting 11 will be Ramires, who plays in the dual holding midfielder’s role with Mikel Obi.
Moses came off the bench against Shakhtar Donetsk on Matchday 4 and scored the winner in added time to give Chelsea this faintest of hopes to make it through to the next stage.
“The players are ready mentally, they are working hard to reach the next level, but Nordsjaelland is a dangerous team because they have not too much to lose and they like to play the game on the floor, and that is always dangerous,” said Benitez to the club’s official site.
“But I don't see it is as needing a miracle. We have to win and wait but although Juventus are a very good team, we have confidence Shakhtar can beat them,” he added.
If Chelsea fail to qualify on Wednesday, they will become the first defending champions that has failed to make it out of the group stage.
