thumbnail Hello,

The two football administrative bodies seem to have sheathed their swords as Nigerian football reaches a crucial point

All is now well between the Nigeria Football Federation and its affiliate the Nigeria Premier League as the parent body has granted the NPL the permission to hold its Annual General Meeting already slated for Kano.

Although the NFF failed to make any official statement after Thursday’s meeting with the NPL, it was in their communiqué issued after its emergency meeting on Wednesday that it would meet with the elite League body which it did on Thursday.

According to the Chief Media Officer of the NFF, Ademola Olajire, “all is well and everybody is happy. The NFF is satisfied with the explanations made by the NPL on their proposed plans and AGM. So we are all happy about it," he told Goal.com.

Former Secretary General of the NFF, Chief Taiwo Ogunjobi was sighted in Abuja on Tuesday at the final of the Super 6 of the Female League held at the Old Parade Ground, Abuja.

Goal.com learnt authoritatively that it was Ogunjobi who finally brokered the peace between the NFF and allegedly unrepentant NPL boss Rumson Baribote.

Ogunjobi is well respected by Baribote and the NFF President. There was visible happiness written all over the faces of both parties most especially the NFF leadership who fear any distractions now that could jeopardise the ambition of the Super Eagles to do well at the 2013 Africa Gup of Nations.
