Rizespor striker Uche Kalu says he will miss his father who was buried on Saturday

The former Enyimba attacker revealed after the burial of his parent that he regrets the passing away of the man that gave him the push in life
Rizespor of Turkey striker, Uche Kalu has said that he will miss his late father who was buried on Saturday in Abia State.Pa Ezeogo John Izuka Kalu, 83, who was a newspaper agent, was buried in his hometown Ndi Ikpe, Eziama Autonomous Community in Igbere Bende Local Government Area, Abia State.
Kalu noted that his faher gave him all and now that he is no more, he would have to quickly adjust to life again.
"He was a good man. He was a man that constantly encouraged me not to give up on my career," said Kalu.
"At one point it seemed as if I wanted to stop playing because of the way players are treated in the Nigeria Premier League. But he told me that I should focus on the things that make me happy in the game.
"He said I should continue to do my best and that one day, my big break will surely come.
"When Super Eagles coach invited me to camp and I started making the team in some of the matches, he called me and reminded me some of the things he told me when I was always complaning.
"All I will say is that he taught me what life is and that I have to be determined to be the best in everything I do. I will continue to do my best for my club and the national team any time I am invited to play for Nigeria.
"I have scored eight goals for my second division club in Turkey and we are presently in the second position on the league table and we are determined to gain promotion at the end of the season.
"I will always remember my father and I will never forget what he taught while he was alive," Uche told Goal.com.
The former Enyimba player is on a year loan to the Turkish side.
