The two clubs want to make good comeback to the NPL with their high profile signingsReturning Nigeria Premier League clubs, Bayelsa United and Nassarawa United are making statement of intent to remain in the elite division beyond the coming season after successfully poaching on some best legs in the top division.
Goal.com findings showed that the 2009 NPL champions have signed Tony Abawula and Blessing Okardi from Lobi Stars while they are also close to the acquisition of Ex-Enyimba striker, Bernard Okorowanta(Sharks), Chigozie Christopher(Ex-Heartland), Emmanuel Enize(Sharks),Obinna Nwokolo(Plateau United) and a certain Dengo who once played for Ocean Boys.
While on the other hand, Nassarawa United are very close to sealing a deal for Henry Akile and Terfa Abaya who both featured for Lobi Stars last season both have left the Makurdi outfit on a mutual consent.
The source told Goal.com that both clubs are coming with a bang as they prepare for their return to the NPL when the league starts soon.
"Nassarawa United and Bayelsa United are really busy in the transfer market and if they are to be taken seriously, other clubs must have to sit up if they want to get into reckoning. Abawula and Okardi have already signed for Bayelsa United while Akile and Abaya are close to Nassarawa deal.
"There are other players too that have been sighted in their camp also," the source noted to Goal.com
Nassarawa United, Bayelsa United, El Kanemi Warriors and Nembe City all got promotion to the elite division from the Nigeria National League(NNL) last season after spending at least a season in the lower league.
