The Nigerian striker says he is confident of scoring more goals for his side in Turkey and hopes they can gain promotion to the elite division
Kalu who left Enyimba at the end of last season for the one year loan to the Turkish side told Goal.com that he is confident that he will continue to do his best for the team.
“It was a target I set for myself that I will get the goals that will help my team gain promotion at the end of the season. I am happy with the way I am playing right now and I want to continue this way until the end of the season.
Rizespor are presently second on the table with 22 points after 12 matches, two points behind Kayseri Erciyesspor.
“I scored my eighth goal of the season last weekend and I am ready to continue in that form. We are playing very well and what the players have decided is that we will not relent until we see that Rizespor is promoted to the first division.
“I may have scored eight goals, but I am also ready to contribute to the overall improvement of the team. Nobody gave us any chance at the beginning of the season, but we have shown that we can do our best to make our supporters happy.
“We will continue to churn out good results in all the remaining matches of the season. I am sure that we will not relent in our resolve to keep on winning matches to remain on top of the second division table,” Kalu said.
The former Enyimba striker is one of the players Stephen Keshi looks to invite when the Super Eagles starts camping for the Africa Cup of Nations in Faro, Portugal from January 4th.
