U-17: 25-man Mali contingent land in Nigeria

A 25 man Malian contingent have arrived Lagos Friday where they are expected to hit Calabar Saturday morning for the CAF U17 Championship qualifier against the Golden Eaglets billed for Sunday at the UJ Esuene Stadium.

The Assistant Director (Media), Demola Olajire in a chat with Goal.com opined that the West African nation came in  two groups with the first made up of 17 persons arriving through Arik Air while the remaining eight flew in through Asky Airlines.

Olajire said that all necessary arrangements to ensure a hitch-free match have been put in place ahead of the 3rd Round first leg tie billed for 2pm.

"Malians  arrived Lagos Friday with 25 persons. 17 of them came in through Arik Air while the remaining eight flew in through Asky airlines. We are ready and prepared for them," Olajire enthused.

Meanwhile, the Malian U17 national team would have a feel of the pitch at the U.J Esuene Sports Stadium as mandated by Confederation of African Football (CAF) later on Saturday.

The Eaglets have turned Calabar's UJ Esuene Stadium to a slaughter slab for opponents having beaten Niger Republic (6-0), Guinea (3-0) before getting to this stage. It is the final round of the qualifier for Morocco 2013 CAF U17 Championship.
