The all-action Peoples Elephant's striker says next season will be brighter for his club and himself
Chimezie was bought by Enyimba at the beginning of last season and his crucial goals assisted the Aba Millionaires before he hit a nagging injury which disturbed him for most part of the second stanza.
The Aba bred player told Goal.com that he had put the difficult spells he had on the treatment table behind him and was looking forward to a thrilling 2012/2013 season for Enyimba and for him on a personal note too.
"I am thrilled to be back and better after injuries nearly blighted by integration into the elite division last season,” said Chimezie to Goal.com.
"I don't have any injury worries again and I am looking forward to an eventful campaign in the league for me and my club next season. We will not suffer the kind of form we had last season this time around.
"We already have Bright Esieme, Andrew Abalogu and Sibi Gwar which is a sign that Enyimba wants to come back with a bang next season.
The former NPL champions finished outside the continental zone slots in fifth position last season and are on a massive rebuilding process towards righting the wrongs of the two previous seasons which failed to yield a place in Africa inter club competitions.
