Eagles set for their Venezuelan examination in Miami

The Nigerian national team has settled in Miami as they prepare to face off with South American opponents on Wednesday
The Super Eagles are battle ready to play Venezuela on Wednesday as the players invited seek to cement a place in the team that will play at the Africa Cup of Nations Cup in January.

The friendly match against Venezuela will help the coach decide on some players that have been invited especially first times like Shola Ameobi of Newcastle. The team trained twice on Tuesday and the players looked very sharp.

The invited players from Europe are: Austin Ejide, Elderson Echiejile, Raheem Lawal, Ogenyi Onazi, Nosa Igiebor and US-based Bright Ejike.

These are joined by Brown Ideye, Shola Ameobi and Obafemi Martins. Mikel Obi and Victor Moses asked to be removed from the list and Rennes defender, Apam Onyekachi could not make it because of an injury.

The home-based players that made the trip are: Chigozie Agbim, Godfrey Oboabona, Solomon Kwambe, Azubuike Egwueke, Benjamin Francis, Umar Zango, Henry Uche, Sunday Mba, Ejike Uzoenyi and Gomo Onduku.

The match will kick off at 2am on Thursday, Nigerian time.
