The former Siena of Italy defender has praised the work rate of the Uruguayan forward after his four goals stunned Dnipro to their first away loss in the Europa Cup
Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk of Ukraine defender, Michael Odibe says he can’t stop talking about the imperial form of Napoli’s Edison Cavani who got all his side's four goals in their UEFA Europa League defeat in Naples last week.
Odibe and his Ukrainian club lost the MatchDay 4 tie 4-2 with Cavani scoring all four goals and the Nigerian in an interview from his base told Goal.com that the Uruguayan international was in a world of his own last Thursday and that he and his team mates were left astounded at the precocious talent of the striker.
"My brother, we lost the match 4-2 but I must tell you that we played well but met our waterloo in the form of Cavani. He did not only score all the goals, he terrorised our defence throughout the encounter,” Odibe told Goal.com.
"Nothing really happened to us but we lost to a better team on the day.
“It was just football. They had their chances and Cavani took them. We won the first leg 3-1 but Cavani was unstoppable in Naples," the one cap Eagles Star added.
Despite the setback in Italy, Dnipro still occupy top spot in Group F of the Europa League with nine points from four matches while Napoli are second with six points from same number of matches.
